About the database

This database is part of the International Nitrogen Management System (INMS); a science-support system for international nitrogen policy development. 

The INMS process is a joint activity of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the International Nitrogen Initiative (INI) hosted by the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (UKCEH). This database has been supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) through the GEF/UNEP ‘Towards INMS’ project, as executed by UKCEH.

This database is designed to be used in conjunction with the ‘INMS Guidance Document on Measures for Sustainable Nitrogen Management’ which provides further context on how to integrate the measures.
